Union Rescue Mission (URM) is one of the nation’s largest and Los Angeles’ oldest organization dedicated to serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. URM provides comprehensive emergency services to guests, including shelter, food provision, clothing, medical care, recovery programs, education, counseling, job training, and transitional housing. URM needs volunteers to help prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and evening meals to guests, and help clean and set up. Individuals and groups can volunteer anytime 7 days a week between 6:00am and 8:00pm. Adults and supervised teens can join, and volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing. Interested volunteers should sign up for a volunteer orientation to get started.
