Since 1992, volunteer social workers and child advocates have been providing a safe, nurturing home environment for at-risk young families to help them gain ground and become confident, self-sufficient households. Gramercy Housing Group’s mission is to reduce family homelessness by providing an array of social services, affordable transitional housing, education assistance, and parenting and job training to young families in need. Volunteers are needed to help spend time with Gramercy’s youngest children at its family center by playing games, reading, and making crafts while their parents attend Gramercy’s workshops and classes. Volunteers must enjoy working with young children and be at least 18 years of age. Contact Gramercy to learn more.
