I do believe that the way to change a society, to uplift people — not just their spirit, but to uplift their society and economic base — is through education. That’s what Mona Foundation focuses on.

In 2008, after Christina Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer she created the Right Action for Women Foundation who’s mission is to educate women about what it means to be at “high risk” for breast cancer.
